A young Mother is missing.
A frantic young Father fights hard to keep his sanity and give his young son as normal a life as possible while they wait for the prescribed time allotted by police before a missing persons report can be investigated.
Once that time has passed it is clear that the young Father himself is the prime suspect, so he must do the best he can not only to provide normality for his son, but to find out where his wife has gone. When her body washes up on a local beach the local constabulary are sure they have their man. The frantic young Father must follow the only clues he has to clear his name and find his wife's killer. In doing so a trail of violence and crime are uncovered.
The novel is nicely written and kept me tied to the pages.
The action takes place over a very short time frame and is very neatly controlled and wrapped up. It is certainly a harrowing thought for any of us to imagine ourselves in this young man's shoes.
To my own naive and protected perspective, the violence was just a little outside reality, but only just. Gone Again
